A PROPOSED RESOLUTION IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
To confirm the appointment of Ms. Vera M.R. Abbott to the Alcoholic Beverage Control
Board.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this resolution may be cited
as the "Alcoholic Beverage Control Board Vera M.R. Abbott Confirmation Resolution of
1999".
Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the appointment of:

as a member of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. established by section 4(a) of the
District of Columbia Alcoholic Beverage Control Act. effective May 24, 1994 (D.C. Law
10-122; D.C. Code §25-104(a), replacing James C. Jefferson. whose term ended October 28,
1995, for a term to end May 7, 1999. and for a full 4-year term to commence thereafter
ending, May 7, 2003.
Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this
resolution, upon its adoption, each to the nominee and to the Office of the Mayor.
Sec. 4. This resolution shall have no fiscal impact.
Sec. 5. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
