A PROPOSED RESOLUTION 1N THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT
OF COLUMBIA

To approve, on an emergency basis, a proposed purchase agreement, between
the District and 821 Howard Road LLC, for the District’s purchase of 821
Howard Road, S.E. in the District of Columbia, also designated on the
Records of the Assessor of the District of Columbia for assessment and
taxation purposes as Lot 983 in Square 5861, for the relocation of the
Department of Mental Health’s children’s adolescent day treatment
outpatient mental health program.

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
resolution may be cited as the "821 Howard Road, S.E., Purchase
Approval Emergency Resolution of 2001 ".

Sec. 2(a) Pursuant to section 451(b) of the District of Columbia Home
Rule Act, approved December 24, 1973 (87 Stat. 803, D.C. Code §
1-204.51), and section 705(c) of the District of Columbia Revenue Act of
1970, approved January 5, 1971 (84 Stat. 1939; D.C. Code § 1-301.91(c)),
the Mayor transmitted to the Council for its approval, prior to signing, a
proposed purchase contract for 821 Howard Road, S.E., between the District
of Columbia and 821 Howard Road LLC.

(b) The Council finds that the proposed purchase contract for 821
Howard Road, S.E. between the District and 821 Howard Road LLC is in the
best interest of the District, and therefore approves the same.

Sec. 3. Fiscal Impact Statement. The Council adopts the attached fiscal
impact  statement as the fiscal impact statement required by section
602(c)(3) of the Home Rule Act, approved December 24, 1973 (87 Stat. 813;
D.C. Code §1-206.02(c)(3)).

Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
