To confirm the reappointment of Dr. Natwar M. Gandhi as the Chief
Financial Officer of the District of Columbia.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
resolution may be cited as the "Chief Financial Officer of the
District of Columbia Dr. Natwar M. Gandhi Confirmation Resolution of 2001
".
Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the reappointment
of:
Dr. Natwar M. Gandhi

Washington, DC 20008
as the Chief Financial Officer of the District of Columbia, in
accordance with: (1) section 424(b) of the District of Columbia Home Rule
Act, approved December 24, 1973 (87 Stat. 774; D.C. Code §47-317.2); (2)
section 155 of the District of Columbia Appropriations Act, 2001, approved
November 22, 2000 (114 Stat. 2455; PL 106-522); and (3) the Independence
of the Chief Financial Officer Establishment Act of 2001, signed by the
Mayor on July 13, 2001 (D.C. Act 14-89; 48 DCR 7072).
Sec. 3. The Secretary to the Council of the District of Columbia shall
transmit a copy of this Resolution, upon adoption, to the nominee and to
the Office of the Mayor.
Sec. 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately.
