PROPOSED RESOLUTION IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

To confirm the appointment of Dr. Andrew
Schamess to the Health and Hospitals Public Benefit Corporation Board of Directors.

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF
COLUMBIA, That this resolution may be cited as the "Health and Hospitals Public
Benefit Corporation Board of Directors Andrew Schamess Confirmation Resolution of
2000".

Sec. 2. The Council of the District of
Columbia confirms the appointment of

Dr. Andrew Schamess

Washington, D.C. 20009

(Ward 1)

as a member of the Health and Hospitals Public
Benefit Corporation Board of Directors, established by section 203 of the Health and
Hospitals Public Benefit Corporation Act of 1996, effective April 9, 1997 (D.C. Law
11-212; D.C. Code § 32-262.3), for a term to end December 11, 2002.

Sec. 3. The Council of the District of
Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution, upon its adoption, each to the nominee
and to the Office of the Mayor.

Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect
immediately.

analysis shows significant progress toward stated goals.

Prior to becoming Medical Director, served as
a volunteer physician and coordinator of volunteers at La Clinics del Pueblo, and also
volunteered time at Zacchaeus Free Clinic.
